Why I Call Evansville, IN Home>

I love the Evansville, IN area because the crime rate is not nearly as bad as in other locations.  Cost of living is reasonable and the people are Midwestern friendly.  They are a collection of German-Americans, French-Americans, and other diverse groups that add to the cultural mix of the region.  This community as a group cares for people.

Evansville's Pride of the Sea-LST Floating Museum

This is a wonderful place to take the children to show them and teach them about Evansville, IN contribution to the war effort during WWII "The Big One"  This vessel saw service in the D-Day and Normandy operation as well as service in the Mediterranean Sea.  The vessel was sailed back to the United States in 2000-2001 and has been based out of Evansville for 5 years.

I have an interesting in writing and decided this would be a great place to practice.  Please feel free to enjoy my articles and post replies and commentary.  This gives us a way to discover new places  in and around the Evansville, area for residents as well as guest from outside our area.
